A committee led
by medical ethics expert Dr. Ellen Wright Clayton redefined chronic fatigue syndrome urging doctors and regulators to consider it a serious, debilitating disorder.
On Feb. 10, the Institute of Medicine “called on doctors to do a better job diagnosing an illness that may affect up to 2.5 million Americans, and it set five main symptoms as the criteria,” the Associated Press reported.
